3D Soshi Anyone ?

Our Girls have done it again, getting another product endorsement deal from a big-name Korean electronics firm. LG Electronics has recently signed-up our favourite 9 ladies as the advertising image for their new Cinema 3D TV product line . This news was announced on the 16th of January 2012.
With Girls’ Generation slowly, but surely, gaining worldwide popularity in recent times, LG Electronics hopes that by getting them to be the “face” for their new Cinema 3D TV product range, the concept of 3D TV will automatically be associated with LG, thus securing their place in the global electronics market.
The creative advertising director in-charge of brand communication for the project, Mr. Han Woonghyun, had this to say on the matter: “With Girls’ Generation’s image as the leading group of Hallyu, we will solidify a newly upgraded LG Cinema 3D TV image.”
LG Electronics plan to launch a whole slew of advertising promotional activities this year, utilizing the talents of our 9 ladies from SNSD, plus the charms of model and actor, Won BIn, in order to ensure that the brand of LG stays first and foremost in the minds of consumers when it comes to 3D television, thus securing their share of the market worldwide. Jakarta - Gempa dengan skala besar terjadi di Aceh hari ini pukul 01.36 WIB. Kekuatan gempa 7,1 Skala Richter (SR) disusul 7,6 SR. Badan Meteorologi Klimatologi dan Geofisika (BMKG) bahkan sempat memasang peringatan potensi tsunami. Namun syukurlah peringatan itu akhirnya dicabut. Lantas mengapa terjadi gempa itu?

"Gempa tersebut terjadi di bagian lempeng samudra, yaitu pada Lempeng Australia,
sebelum lempeng tersebut menghunjam lempeng Benua Eurasia (Sumatera) dekat dengan outer-rise," kata Kepala Pusat Data Informasi dan Humas Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana (BNPB), DR Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, dalam pesan tertulis yang diterima detikcom, Rabu (11/1/2012).

Dia menuturkan, gempa yang terjadi di kedalaman 10 km itu tidak terjadi pada zona pertemuan lempeng, sebagaimana kebanyakan gempa yang terjadi di Sumatra. Mekanisme gempa pada dini hari tadi yaitu sesar geser dan jarak dari zona pertemuan lempeng yaitu sekitar 100 km. Karena itu tidak berpotensi tsunami.

"Gempa ini terjadi karena ketika lempeng samudra berusaha masuk ke bawah lempeng benua, terdapat aktivitas postseismik yang arahnya berlawanan. Sehingga terdapat akumulasi regangan di dekat palung laut. Akumulasi ini menghasilkan gempa sesar geser," papar Sutopo.

Tak lama kemudian terjadi gempa susulan dengan magnitude kecil, dan sangat sedikit sekali kemungkinan diikuti gempa besar. "Beberapa gempa jenis ini pernah terjadi di wilayah yang dekat dengan gempa tadi pagi, dengan mekanisme yang juga mirip," imbuhnya.

Gempa dirasakan (MMI) pada skala III-IV di Banda Aceh, skala II-III di Simelue, skala I-II di Medan, serta skala I-II di Mandailing Natal.

MMI IV artinya getaran dirasakan di dalam maupun luar rumah. Saat getaran terjadi, jendela dan pintu serta benda diam bisa bergetar. MMI V artinya getaran dirasakan lebih keras, sehingga benda-benda yang bergantungan jatuh dan kaca jendela pecah.

"Meulaboh merasakan getaran cukup kuat, tetapi tidak ada laporan kerusakan atau korban yang terjadi. Banda Aceh tenang. Hingga saat ini belum ada laporan mengenai adanya korban dan kerusakan bangunan. Tim Reaksi Cepat BNPB dan BPBD terus melakukan pendataan dampak gempa bumi tersebut," terang Sutopo.
